Woodpeckers In Wales
Naturist Club
We were planning to stay at Woodpeckers for 5 days, but ended up staying nearly 14 days! A lovely spot for our caravan. The use of the fully equipped kitchen with a comfortable clubhouse and pleasant swimming pool were not the only reasons for us to extend our holiday, the warm welcome of the members made us feel so at home at Woodpeckers.
We had pleasant evenings in the clubhouse playing pool, having a drink or playing card games together.
Any quizmaster would have been jealous of the performance presented during one of the evenings of entertainment that we were kindly invited to take part in without feeling obligated to do so.
One of the events we took part in was a full English Breakfast morning as well as a hot dog and onion lunch later in the week. Watching the rugby in the clubhouse with the members was also a particular treat!
We like to visit England (or in this case Wales) as often as possible to see a lot of the country. Woodpeckers is in the heart of a very historical area and there is a lot of sightseeing for those who like to get out and about, these include Castle Coch, Ogmore Castle, Ewenny priory, St Illtud's church, Caerphilly castle, Melincourt waterfall, Cardiff, Cowbridge, Penarth Pier and of course the beautiful coastline of Wales with its amazing beaches, lighthouses and costal paths.
We will most certainly come back to Woodpeckers! Thankyou all so much!

Firstly many thanks for getting us booked in at such short notice.
We had a lovely time and found the facilities on offer were first class. Thoroughly enjoyed the use of the pool, and the location and pitch were perfect.
Thanks for the camp fires, it really is something special about being outside with nothing but the stars to look at over a roasting hot fire.
Pass on our thanks for the welcome we received off fellow members and no doubt we will look to visit you again in the future.
Regards,
S & C
We have visited the club many times for the day, but this was our first 'sleepover'. We stayed in the newly sited visitors' static caravan.
The caravan is immaculate and very well-equipped. The bed is very comfortable and we slept really well. It is in a very convenient location, close to all the amenities with a nice area for sunbathing.
The site itself is a real oasis with lovely well-kept grounds. The birdsong and visiting wildlife (squirrels and pheasants) is an added bonus. The facilities are excellent: comfortable clubhouse; well-equipped kitchen; and immaculate shower and toilet block. The members are very friendly and welcoming. During our short stay we were invited to join the BBQ and attended two outdoor movies. Woodpeckers in Wales is the perfect place to 'get away from it all'. Thank you - we will be back!

First off can we say a big thank you to several people who made us feel so welcome and relaxed at the site, also a big thank you to everyone else for making our first naturist experience a very pleasant one and helped put our minds at ease. Looking forward to coming back in July.

Great experience at woodpeckers. Great communication regarding the booking. Enjoyed the pool, clean facilities, nice and peaceful site. Greatest asset of this site is the people, friendly bunch with a great sense of humour. Had a great couple of nights at the clubhouse including a quiz, playing pool and table tennis. We were new to the naturist scene and didn't know what to expect, there was no pressure, we were very comfortable there and looking forward to our next visit. Would 100% recommend this site.

What a lovely place to stay. Everyone is friendly, fabulous club house, free pool table, use of kitchen and washing machine. The swimming pool is simply the best I've come across, heated and incredibly clean.
Teh pool is one depth throughout, safe for everyone to enjoy.
We would definitely stay again.
